The “100th Anniversary of Bonneville”

The past, present and future of Bonneville will all come to life as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of racing on the Bonneville Salt Flats at the Grand National Roadster Show at the Fairplex in Pomona CA.   Help us honor the last 100 years and help preserve its future.  See the most elite gathering of the World’s Fastest Vehicles ever driven at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the special feature building at the 65th Grand National Roadster show, January 24-26 2014.

The “Century of Speed” exhibit will celebrate the 100 year anniversary of land speed racing at the Bonneville Salts Flats and raise awareness of the current “Save the Salt” campaign. It will feature 100 of the greatest Land Speed record cars and motorcycles of the past one hundred years. There will also be a special gathering Thursday for the vehicles owners to enjoy the exhibition before it is open to the public. A special book signing will take place every day, so please join us for the Fun, Flash and the Future of The Bonneville Salt Flats.

“The Quest for Speed” is the theme
for the 65th Grand National Roadster Show.  You will see over 500 show vehicles competing for awards inside all the other buildings. Another 400-500 show vehicles will join the show, and will be parked between the buildings as part of the show, making it the oldest and largest indoor Hot Rod show on the planet!

Ron Monteith's 1971 Chevy C10 wired with a Rebel Wire 9+3 wiring harness.  Ron's truck has been a 6 year frame off build.  He's running a 1996 Vortec 350 with a Muncie 4 speed making 400+HP.  The truck is lowered 2.5 inches in the front using drop spindles, and 4 inches in the rear.  The gas tank has been relocated to the rear utilizing a Blazer tank.  All bolts, bushings, and screws have been changed, and an oak wood floor has been installed in the bed.  The vent windows have been removed and one-piece windows have been installed.  Ron has removed the under dash vent units to install 6x9 speakers, under the seat is an amp with two 8x9's and a 12'' bass speaker behind the seat.

Jeremy,

I wanted to drop you a note and thank you for all of the help that you provided over the phone throughout my dune buggy wiring project. I will concede, had I read and re-read your instructions more carefully I am sure that I could have limited the number of phone calls in search of help. When I took the job on, it was my first wiring job of that scope and size it was very intimidating. I have to say, the more that we talked and you helped the more that my confidence grew and my ability to reason out what would have been a potential problem and necessitate another phone call to you.

Your patience and expertise was very much appreciated. While I am reasonably sure that I could have eventually finished the job, your help no doubt saved me an enormous amount of time. Lastly, your harness was exactly as described, and you are correct that the “wire” that you guys use was very easy to use and the labeling was very easy to follow. I would highly recommend your product to anyone, coupled with your customer service; rebel wire easily exceeded my expectations.

Sincerely,

Terry P.
